Residentials

Lifelong memories from seaside adventures

We believe a great residential is an important part of growing up. Nothing beats that first taste of independence and the sense of achievement you feel. For many pupils, it’s the highlight of their year, when friendships are made and sealed, new activities are tried and exciting new places are experienced.

The top five life skills your pupils will gain with us are:

  • Becoming more independent and resilient through time spent away from home.
  • Improving self-confidence and self-motivation.
  • Broadened horizons and sense that the ‘whole world is out there’.
  • An understanding of how outdoor play improves their health and wellbeing.
  • Environmental awareness and understanding how their actions impact the Earth.

Accommodation

We work with Northumbria School of English, just 7 minutes walk from our base. They offer clean and comfortable 2- and 4-bedded rooms for students and three-star rated ensuite rooms for group leaders. The maximum number of students they can accommodate is 30. You can see photos of the accommodation on their website.

As a popular seaside resort, Whitley Bay is also home to a range of hotels. For older kids or adult groups we work with hotel partners including Windsor Hotel and Premier Inn. Please enquire for pricing.

Transport

Our location makes transport both easy and economical for our groups. On our doorstep we have:

  • Cullercoats Metro Station, connecting you to the city, airport and national rail network.
  • Minibus parking at the accommodation and activity sites.
  • Coach drop off and pick up close to all sites.

Whilst you’re here, your group will enjoy complimentary travel on the Tyne & Wear Metro and Ferries, making it quick and easy to move your group around the coast and city.

Safety First

We take the safety of our groups seriously. We’re licenced by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service and our coaches are qualified to National Governing Body standards. We work at ratios of 1:8 or less. Accommodation is in a safe and secure residential facility which is located and provides 24-hour assistance. Our equipment is first-class and well maintained.
