Advance Booking Policy

Customers that wish to book hires, experiences and lessons in advance are required to pay in full at the time of booking, except in the following circumstances:

  • Groups: A deposit of 50% of the total price is payable at the time of booking. The remainder of the balance is due at least 14 days prior to the reserved booking date, with confirmation of final numbers.

Cancellation

Hires, Guided Experiences, Lessons & Kids Activities

  • 14 days or more prior to the reserved booking date - you can reschedule, change to a gift certificate or request a full monetary refund.

  • Between 13 days and 2 days prior to the reserved booking date - you can reschedule or request a gift certificate.

  • Less than 2 days prior to the reserved booking date - no refunds or changes permitted.

  • Participants who do not show up on the reserved booking date will be unable to reschedule and will not receive a refund.

Groups (including schools and youth groups)

  • Participants cancelling 21 days or more prior to the reserved booking date will have the option of rescheduling the booking, receiving a gift certificate for the amount of the cancelled booking, or a full monetary refund, less a £40 administration charge.

  • Participants cancelling between 20 and 7 days prior to the reserved booking date will not receive a monetary refund but may reschedule the booking or receive
    a gift certificate for the amount of the cancelled booking, less a £40 administration charge.

  • Participants cancelling less than 7 days prior to the reserved booking date will not receive a refund. Participants who do not show up on the reserved booking date will also not receive a refund.

Area of Operation

We reserve the right to limit our area of operations or change the route of your tour at short notice, in response to changing weather forecasts, safety concerns or any other circumstances beyond our control. In these circumstances you will not be entitled to a refund and our normal cancellation policies will apply. If you have a particular route/itinerary in mind, please check the forecast and seek advice at least two days prior to your activity.

Our Right to Cancel

In the event of inclement weather or rough sea conditions: the company will notify the customer of cancellation as soon as practicable where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous and/or unsuitable weather/sea conditions for the hire, course or activity. In this event you will be entitled to rearrange your booking or receive a gift certificate equivalent to the value of your booking (less administration fee where applicable), valid for one year. If re-booking within the next year is not practical for any reason (eg. you live outside the locality), you can request a refund and our booking office will get in touch to discuss your specific circumstances.

In the event of insufficient bookings being in place: the company shall notify the customer of cancellation not less than 3 days prior to the commencement of the activity
or course where numbers, as a result of either customer(s) cancellation or booked numbers have failed to reach a workable minimum. In this event you will be entitled to rearrange your booking, receive a gift voucher for the value of your booking (valid for one year), or receive a full monetary refund.

  • In any event, no compensation will be payable for any other expenses or losses customers incur in relation to the cancellation of the activity.

  • Should you wish to receive a full monetary refund, you must request this within 30 days of your cancellation, otherwise you will receive a gift voucher by default.

Refunds & Credit Notes

Gift Vouchers: These are sold on a non-refundable basis. They are valid for one year from date of issue.

Refund Method: If you are entitled to a refund, we can only refund you to the original payment method. If we are refunding to a gift certificate, please ensure it is still valid, as it is not possible to extend them.
