Mini Adventures

Our half-day Mini Adventures, are jam packed with action and excitement for kids ages 7-12. Enjoy developing new skills on the water, delve deeper into the coastal environment and learn about staying safe in the water.

Mini Adventures run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during May half term and the summer holidays.

All equipment and a 5mm wetsuit is provided, all your kids need is swimwear, a towel, suncream, water and a snack for afterwards. Complimentary hot chocolate is provided when the kids get off the water.

Price: £38.50 including all equipment and instruction.
Suitable for: Children ages 7 to 12.

Who is this activity suitable for?

This activity is suitable for children ages 7 to 12 years old. It is important that your child is:

  • Able to swim short distances unaided and/or feels comfortable floating in water

  • Is not fearful of open water

  • Is able to put on a wetsuit unaided. If not, we ask that parents assist before and after the session as it can be quite an intimate task

What do the kids do all day?

We are an award winning watersports activity provider, so you won’t be surpised the kids are gonna get wet! But the programme is pretty diverse and would suit any child with an interest in the outdoors and the marine environment. Each day has a pre-allocated activity, so please do book for the correct day. Available activities include:

  • Kayaking

  • Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

  • Bodyboarding

Each activity will include instruction, practice and exploration of the local shoreline.

Where do I pick up and drop off?

You pick up and drop off from the CBK Adventures, Cullercoats store. Please drop off at the start time shown on your booking confirmation, pick up is at the end time shown. If you need to assist your child with getting ready, the first 30 minutes of the session is allocated for changing and prep, so there is no need to arrive early. We use a password system to ensure your child only departs with an authorised adult.

What do you provide?

  • A professional instructor who will be with the group throughout. All instructors have Enhanced DBS checks and Safeguarding Training

  • Small group coaching. Our instructor to participant ratio is just 1:8

  • All equipment required for the sessions

  • Warm 5mm wetsuit, buoyancy aid and all required safety equipment

What do I need to bring?

  • Closed toe footwear that you don’t mind getting wet (eg. wetsuit boots or old trainers)

  • Swimwear for under your wetsuit

  • Towel, dry clothes and dry shoes for afterwards

  • On warm days, water for hydration and suncream to protect your skin

  • Snacks
