Half-term events and activities at CBK
We have lots going on for the whole family this week, cycling, kayaking and a few other things too.
Cullercoats to Seaton Delaval Loop
Bike Tour (12 miles, 2 hours, Tues 27 May, 10am-12pm)
On Tuesday 27 May, join one of our cycle guides and enjoy this scenic loop, suitable for the whole family. We'll meet at Cullercoats Bike & Kayak before heading north to join the Waggonways track through Holywell Dene. We'll then cycle past Seaton Delaval Hall before rejoining the coast at Seaton Sluice.
£11.50 with your own bike, £20 with one of ours. Tag-alongs and toddler seats also available. Contact us to book.
Rocky Shore Ramble
Shoreline Tour On Foot (1.5 hours, Thurs 29 May, 9.30am-11am)
Your guide, local marine biologist Simon Laing, will lead you on this family friendly exploration of the rocky shore this Thursday. We will carefully turn over some rocks and identify the creatures we find. We will also learn a little bit about how humans can help preserve the shore.
£7 for adults, £5 for children. Contact us to book.
Saturday Family Paddle
Kayak Tour (2 hours, Sat 31 May, 1pm-3pm)
We're taking to the water on Saturday with this special guided kayak trip for parents and children. After picking up your equipment from the store, we will launch from Cullercoats Bay and explore the natural harbour as well as the tidal lagoon of Brown's Bay. This gentle paddle will be led by an experienced guide. £25 for adults, £15 for children. Ask about group discounts. Contact us to book.
Cullercoats Bike & Kayak Film Club
We're starting a CBK Film Club, because we love good movies as well as bikes and kayaks! It's like a book club but for films. Each time we meet, someone will nominate a film to watch, we watch it in our own time, then meet up at CBK to discuss it! Anyone in?
We have nominated the first film - it will be 'The Way Way Back' (2013). First meeting will be Thursday 29th May, 6pm-7pm in The Snug.
