Where and when do I meet the Guide?

We have attached the arrival and end times of your tour onto the booking invoice as a handy reminder because we know you might be booking months in advance and so you can make plans for the rest of your day around this experience.

You’ll meet your guide at the CBK Adventures Shop in Cullercoats, where you will be getting changed into your wetsuit and you can also leave all of your dry gear inside our lockers ready for your return before breakfast.

What will I see and do?

You’ll meet your guides at CBK Adventures in Cullercoats and receive an introduction to the day with your first coffee. We’ll provide you with everything you need including changing facilities and lockers. Once we’re good to go, it’s a short walk to Cullercoats Bay where we’ll refresh your paddling skills with a short introduction in the bay followed by an exploration of the local area. The exact route will depend on the sea conditions, tide and weather.

After an hour or so exploring the local coastline and pools, we will return to the shop, get changed and then head down to the bay where you’ll find your food ready for you to enjoy on sun loungers.

Who is this tour suitable for?

This tour is suitable for adults and accompanied teens ages 16+. You should be comfortable around water and able to swim 25m. You should also be generally fit, healthy and able to undertake moderate exercise without difficulty.

What do you provide?

What do I need to bring?

  • Closed toe footwear that you don’t mind getting wet (eg. wetsuit boots or old trainers)

  • Swimwear for under your wetsuit

  • Towel, dry clothes and dry shoes for afterwards

  • On warm days, water for hydration and suncream to protect your skin.
