Last Saturday I went on the coastal explorer trip, it was so much more fun than I could ever have expected! Went out in a group of eight; I had no experience but it was really doable and our guide made sure we all stuck together. The water was so clear and we could see some of a WW2 shipwreck which was amazing, and we had a chance to swim in the sea. Came home with a big ol grin on my face - I will definitely be back!

FAQs

Where and when do I meet the Guide?

We have attached the arrival and end times of your tour onto the booking invoice as a handy reminder because we know you might be booking months in advance and so you can make plans for the rest of your day around this experience.

You’ll meet your guide at the CBK Adventures Shop in Cullercoats, where you will be getting changed into your wetsuit and you can also leave all of your dry gear inside ready for your return.

What will I see and do?

After a briefing from your guide and a relaxed warm up, we’ll launch our kayaks from the sandy beach at Cullercoats Bay. Tours always start with a quick kayak skills refresher, so everyone has a chance to get their sea legs. We’ll explore the rocky shores and inlets of Cullercoats Bay and depending on the conditions we may explore the famous Cullercoats Arch. Your guide will tell you tales of the Cullercoats and further a field and you may even see some seals or dolphins. The tour lasts around 1.5 hours.
