Get Active
It’s exercise in disguise. Paddling a kayak builds core strength and develops the upper body. Paddleboarding is all about balance and coordination. Coasteering involves lots of stretching and moving nimbly around obstacles.
Environmental Education
Rock pools, cliffs and beaches are our classroom for the day. We’ll show you a range of marine life in their natural habitats and teach you how they survive the harsh and changing conditions at the coast. We’ll be as low-impact as possible, taking nothing but photos and leaving nothing but footprints.
Water Safety
Our coaches and lifeguards will demonstrate how to respect the water. We’ll talk about the Royal Lifesaving Society ‘SAFE’ code, some simple to remember rules when working or playing near water. Practically, we’ll be explaining how we navigate around currents, swell, waves and shoreline hazards.
Safety First
We take the safety of our groups seriously. We’re licenced by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service, our coaches are qualified to National Governing Body standards at ratios of 1:8 or less. Our equipment is first-class and well maintained. We supply a full risk-assessment for every trip and all necessary safety equipment.
Low Transport Costs
We’re just 5 minutes walk from Cullercoats Metro Station. You can bring your whole group to Cullercoats by Metro for just over £30. Find out more at: http://www.nexus.org.uk/class.
Prices
We can accommodate groups of up to 16 on single activities, or 32 on multi-activities. The minimum group size is 6 people. Our simple pricing makes it easy to plan your visit:
Prices do not include transport, refreshments or parking charges. For long-term or regular activities, we can work with you to approach funding agencies that may subsidise these costs.
