Love this place. Enjoy going to The Snug Cafe for a cuppa and a warm up from the log burning fire. Food is good especially the flap jack. I have been on a few kayak trips, just love the buzz. The guide are organised and friendly. The Tyne bridge kayak was fantastic :) would highly recommend this. I tried a kayak first at Cullercoats harbour day last year and never looked back. Love this hobby. The owner Simon is great, really friendly and I'm glad he has opened this place - my favourite in Cullercoats.
Had a fantastic time on a kayak trip down the Tyne and under the bridges yesterday. Three of us had done a similar trip with Cullercoats Bike & Kayak and took the rest of the family this time. We are a family of six and were celebrating a big birthday. The staff Michael and Simon were very friendly and professional, entertaining us with anecdotes and advice the whole way. A great and unusual way to spend a Saturday morning with the whole family, seeing The Quayside and bridges from the water. We will definitely be visiting CBK again and would most certainly recommend to others.
Had a brilliant time at Cullercoats Bike and Kayak. A group of 11 of us went for a stag trip and right from the start with the excellent communication during the booking right to sorting us taxis back into Newcastle for the night I cannot recommend them enough. Relaxed, friendly staff incredibly welcoming and the kayaking and SUP were great fun. Coffee shop upstairs also great to warm up after a dip in the North Sea and the cakes are top notch!
While down on holiday we tried to book kayaking for the kids. But due to it being last minute it was fully booked. However the chaps I spoke to told us to come along to the harbour day for a taster session. The kids managed to get on twice and absolutely loved it. The people running this place are absolute stars and we're very good with the kids. If we are ever in that area again we will definitely book for one of the kayak tours ... cheers for a great day the kids are still talking about it!
Thank you to the staff who gave us spot on advice about the weather conditions and tides that enabled us to perfectly time taking our kids on their first kayak trip yesterday. We stayed in the harbour but plenty to do - caves to look at etc and felt very safe with lifeguards on duty too. A truly fabulous day- we'll be back!
My friend acquired a speed boat for the day but didn't have any life jackets for the little ones (18 months and 5 years old). So I thought I would give this quirky little business a shot to see if they could help me out. And the man I spoke to was very helpful and said that it was no problem and it only cost me £5 to hire out a life jacket with a small deposit of 20, which I thought was very reasonable. I took a leaflet on my way out and will defo be re visiting this place again in the future.
Went kayaking with family and friends on Sunday afternoon and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food and drink in the snug beforehand were delicious and the staff were very friendly. The instructor was an excellent teacher and we had great fun in the sea. Would definitely recommend and will be doing this again!
