Kayak In Seafood BBQ

We're really happy when we get to work with other people who love the coast, so when the EAT Festival asked us to design something unique for them we asked if Riley's Fish Shack might like to help us design a kayak-in feast! They said yes so this August, why not join us at Cullercoats Bike & Kayak for these special summer events.

Whilst checking in at CBK you can sample some delicious snacks and nibbles from local produce store Boda Home. We'll then take you and your kayak down to the water where our professional guides will familiarise you with techniques and the local terrain.

Once you are feeling confident on the water, we’ll work up a good appetite paddling across the open sea from Cullercoats to King Edward’s Bay in Tynemouth, where Riley’s Fish Shack will be waiting to reward you with a delicious seafood BBQ and party on the beach. This event is part of EAT Newcastle Gateshead, the internationally recognised food festival happening right here in the North East.

The menu for the evening will include lobster, locally sourced seafood and a selection of side dishes. We'll also be sampling some ales from our local Cullercoats Brewery. Numbers are strictly limited to eight people per day.
