The coastline at first light feels quite magical. The wildlife stirs, the water laps at the shore, there is a slight chill in the air as you wait for the sun to rise. You can’t help but feel privileged to be here, in the moment, ready to take to the sea.

Start the day with Cullercoats Bike & Kayak on a Sunrise Kayak Tour. We know it’s hard to rouse yourself with the dawn chorus, so we go the extra mile to make it a special experience. When you arrive at Cullercoats Bay we’ll have hot coffee and cookies waiting for you. We’ll show you around the boats and prepare you for your voyage at sunrise. As the sky lightens you and your kayak guide will take to the water and paddle out into the peace and tranquillity of the North Sea. Then we’ll wait, and watch, as the sun bursts over the horizon and floods you with the warmth and light of a new day.

After a tour of the local coastline, we’ll head back to The Snug Café for breakfast and to relax before the day begins.
